Thornes Garden Nursery & The Potting Shed Café is a small, independent business run by a dedicated team of four, with three of us working each day to bring together great food, a love for plants, and a welcoming space for our community.

‍

As a traditional garden nursery, we follow the seasons—moving plants into the nursery for winter and bringing them back out in spring, ensuring a fresh and ever-changing experience for our visitors.

‍

Our café is at the heart of what we do, offering breakfasts, comforting lunches, milkshakes, waffles, and sweet treats, many of which are made right here, in-house.

‍

While we’re currently giving the café a refresh, we’re open as usual, continuing to grow and refine what we offer.

‍

Looking ahead, we’re excited to do more—whether that’s expanding our menu, refining our space, or hosting more market events. With plenty of plans for 2025, we’re embracing change while staying true to what makes us special: a welcoming space where plants, food, and community come together.
